I’m usually asleep by 11:00. Not this year. I’ll be partying until the wee hours of the morning. First we go to an early dinner at a steakhouse in King of Prussia. Then we head over to the Valley Forge Casino to drink and gamble until 10:00 pm. Then we ring in the new year with a concert by Avalon’s favorite band of all-time – Third Eye Blind.
The group was great, sang all their hit songs and interacted with the audience. Such a great concert. Was a screaming hot day but the whole crowd got cooled off by a single rain cloud that passed over for only a few minutes. The crowd welcomed it and went crazy and Third Eye Blind carried on. Such an incredible concert.

Artwork[edit]

There are variations of the cover art. The first US issue of Third Eye Blind, approximately 500,000 copies, featured a gold-tinted cover photograph by photographer Christine Alicino, with a dark red band logo. The colors were then reverted (as seen above). UK and other Continental European nations continued offering the gold edition, and Japan had a cyan, negative photo cover.^[8] The 20th Anniversary Edition of the album features a black version of the cover.^[9]

Commercial performance[edit]

Third Eye Blind debuted at number 135 on the US Billboard 200 in its first week.^[10] The album rose to number 25 on March 28, 1998, spending a total of 106 weeks on the chart.^[11] On August 31, 2001, the album was certified 6x Platinum in the United States.^[12]
